4 Benefits of Using Shopify With Your Inbound Website

We recently migrated a store away from an older shopping cart platform to Shopify. From the moment we flipped the switch on Shopify, the client was thrilled. The difference between the two platforms was like night and day.
Why was the client so happy? Let's discuss the benefits of using Shopify e-commerce with your inbound marketing website:
Human and SEO Friendly URLs
The original shopping cart our client used had minimal URL configuration options. Products were set up with unfriendly robotic URLs like domain.com/index.php?cPath=13. That’s a terrible URL. It doesn’t give you any information about the product category or name.Shopify will categorize your products based on collections. For example, if you sell comic books you could have a collection (or category) for Superman books and another for Batman books. Then your url would look something like domain.com/collections/superman/action-comics-vol-1 (By the way, if you have a copy of Action Comics #1, call me. Seriously.)
That URL is much cleaner, user friendly, and search engines will love it just like Pac-Man loves strawberries and cherries.
Easy to Use Content Management System
Another benefit of Shopify is their modern content management system (CMS). The Shopify dashboard lets you see your sales, visitors, traffic sources and referrals. You can easily download this info into a variety of formats.
You also have an outstanding rich text editor for creating enticing product descriptions:
Complete Template Control
Marketing & Integration Apps
The Shopify app store helps you extend standard Shopify features or integrate your store with existing email marketing platforms, for example.
You can connect Shopify with our Inbound Marketing for eCommerce app for HubSpot. Our app automatically syncs contact and sales data with your HubSpot portal. You can then segment and market to your customers based on order information like previous products purchased. Have your customers recently purchased a Superman comic book? Send them an email letting them know your Justice League actions figures are on sale. You'll also reap the benefits of HubSpot's powerful visitor tracking, lead intelligence, and social media monitoring capabilities.
If you're missing even one of these features, your e-commerce store might as well be in the stone ages. Like pre-Facebook stone ages. Migrate to a modern e-commerce CMS and start wielding the power of intelligent online selling. Need help migrating? Contact one of our Inbound Specialists and we'll get you going in no time.
